Gara Armchair by D'Ascoli

The Gara Chair is a smart, button-tufted armchair covered in a distinctive linen print inspired by the embroidery designs belonging to and made famous by the Parsi community in India. Stylized flowers, butterflies, and birds dance on a textured background and, if you sense a far-eastern influence in this design you are not mistaken as the Parsis were traders traveling to far- flung locales, and the Chinese embroideries sent back from Canton and Shanghai were worn at home and even influenced local craft traditions until this unique new style emerged.
